2022 Photoshop Fix

The problem: Photoshop on the school desktop crashes on startup.

The solution: Disable the graphics card and allocate RAM to Photoshop.

The reality: this works well BUT you have to do this every time you start Photoshop if the computer has been restarted.

The process:

  1. Start Photoshop.
  2. Login with your school email/password combo.
  3. From the top menu in Photoshop, click on Edit and scroll all the way down to choose Preferences.
  4. Under Preferences, choose Performance.
  5. Change two settings on Performance:
    >change memory usage by moving the slider all the way to the right.
    >uncheck the box that says “use Graphics Processor”
